At its annual meeting on Sunday, May 3, the congregation unanimously voted to accept the slate of candidates nominated by the Board for the Ministerial Search Committee.  The Committee will begin a year-long process to identify and recommend a new "called" or "settled" minister to lead the congregation beginning August 2027, at the conclusion of Rev. Lynn Hopkin's Interim Ministry. The Committee members are: Kent Fisher, Whitney Baker, Lisa  Jennings, Matt Holladay, Laura McArtor,  Sarah Sakaan, and Rod Starns. At it first meeting on May 12, the Committee elected Starns as it's Chairman.

The congregation also unanimously voted on May 3 to:  

  • Change the number of Board members from 13 to 7 (6 plus the Treasurer).
  • Change the term lengths for the Nominating Committee from 1 year to staggered 3-year terms.
  • Elect Gabrielle Nieves, Mike Schooler, and Brad Roper as the Nominating Committee.
  • Re-elect Lisa Jennings to another 1-year term as Treasurer.
  • Elect Nancy Mardis as Endowment Committee Alternate
  • Renew the agreement to share our facilities with Community of Faith Christian Church
