This spring, Ministerial Intern Monica Clark-Robinson will be holding a four-week workshop called "Building Your Own Bible."

As a pluralistic faith movement, we Unitarian Universalists no longer have only one sacred text. Instead we have an individual and collective search for meaning and we glean truth from many sacred wisdom sources. Scriptures from the Bible may sit alongside a poem from Mary Oliver, a reading from James Baldwin, Buddhist texts, and lyrics from Nina Simone in our hearts. In this class series, we will do the work of discernment and collection of our own individual sacred scripture, turning it into a physical copy that we can hold and treasure and access any time we need it. We will even have the option to use visual art techniques to turn it into a beautiful altered art book at the end of the session.
