The mission of Team Upstream is to promote practices that challenge systemic injustices and inequities in our community, and has focused on environmental justice and voting rights and registraton.. Monthly Zoom meetings are typically Fridays at noon. The group also participates in social justice events in the community throughout the year.
The Awesome Little Choir is more than a church choir. We are a loving, caring community. The joy we find in being together is evident in the quality and life we send from the choir loft every Sunday. To join the ALC, just show up at a rehearsal and we'll set up a trial period; you don't even have to read music.
The Journeys adult education group meets Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 in the Beacon Room (library). Group members take turns choosing and leading discussion of a different spiritual topic each week.
Wind Down Third Thursday is a place for COR women to relax together and share conversation and a potluck meal. The hostess provides the gathering place and tableware while the guests provide "finger foods" and wine.
The Alliance meets monthly to enrich our sense of community, share concerns and enjoy lunch down by the river. Programs are planned to increase awareness of social and economic issues in our community. All members and friends are welcome to join in this inclusive ministry.
Supper Club is one of the best ways to enjoy old friends, meet new ones, and savor some wonderful food, drink and conversation in the homes of our members. Participants are invited to a series of small potluck-style dinners and are asked to host one dinner during that same time period. Memorable evenings and lasting friendships are all part of Supper Club.
River Readers is a book discussion group that votes on a reading list each year, and then meets at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month, typically eight months of the year. The group also occasionally goes on outings to dinner and/or movies based on books read.
A casual meet-up in the fellowship hall at around 9:45 Sunday morning--grab a warm beverage and settle in! We gather each week to get to know one another, swap stories and resources, and wonder about our world. No prep or sign-up required. You are always welcome to bring actual pie, should you desire!
